About Us
For more than three decades The Oval has been home to a particular expression for the presence of God. Men, women and children from every continent have gathered on its forty-eight acres of meadows and woodlands as custodians. This carefully nurtured place of His presence has helped train and disciple young and old through prayer, worship and practice. It has helped bring healing, redemption and transformation to those who have stayed and those who have taken it to the nations.
The presence of God made known in this place has, in part, been for the training and discipling of those called into missions and for the unreached people groups of the world. For the past few years, God has been speaking about this land also being for those called to be carriers of His presence in the seven spheres of society and influence.

Why YWAM Harpenden?
For more than three decades The Oval has been home to a particular expression for the presence of God. Men, women and children from every continent have gathered on its forty-eight acres of meadows and woodlands as custodians. YWAM Harpenden does not have all the answers to the challenges faced by the spheres and those who work in them but what it does have is a legacy of creating space for God to speak. And God longs to speak into the spheres and call forth His purposes for them through His people.
The Unfolding Story
If you work in the spheres of society then Kinahan Lodge is for you. YWAM Harpenden recognises the historically mission organisations and the church have not often honoured the calling of God on individuals lives in the workplace. Kinahan Lodge seeks to be a place that changes this. Your work matters. You matter. We would like to invite you to be part of Kinahan Lodge whether this is through attending gatherings we host, hosting your own gatherings under its roof, praying, volunteering and/or giving.
