We are The Souza’s (Thiago, Rachel, Jessica and James), a Brazilian missionary family that live in full-time ministry through YWAM – Youth With A Mission in the UK.

WHAT IS YWAM?


YWAM is a global movement of Christians from many cultures, age groups, and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world. We currently work in more than 1,100 locations in over 180 countries. We are currently serving at YWAM Harpenden where our main focus as a campus is to impact the world with the gospel of Jesus by equipping, discipline and sending out missionaries into all the world. In order to be more intentional and effective in accomplishing our goal, we have made a commitment to send out short and long term teams and support local ministries in the following countries: Turkey, Uganda, Albania, Jordan, and the refugee crisis. Currently we have 120 staff, from about 20 nations, serving in 14 different ministries.


HOW WORKS?


Each one of our YWAM members is encouraged to have their own group of collaborators/partners that are considered part of our work team. YWAM uses this method because we believe that this forms a dialogue between collaborators and missionaries this way creating a direct bond among all who are involved the accomplishing the Great Commission. (Matt 28:19)

Our formal invitation is that you pray about being a part of our missionary calling. There is three ways to do that:

 

INVESTMENT TEAM:

All of the financial support our family receives is intended to fund our daily life in UK. We do not get a salary. Every YWAM missionary is encouraged to have their own group of investor/partners that are considered parto our team.

 

PRAYER TEAM: 

We can’t do our work without prayer! Prayer is the quiet motor of our life and work.

 

MOBILIZERS TEAM: 

To tell others about our ministry it is another way to be part of our team too!!
